This past weekend we were on the road at CSU Pueblo, and it was one of those series where every game came down to execution and momentum swings.

We went 2–2 on the weekend:

  • Game 1: Win 7–6

  • Game 2: Loss 7–8 (8 innings)

  • Game 3: Win 4–1

  • Game 4: Loss 5–17 (8 innings)

Game 1 – 7–6 Win (Clutch Start on the Road)

Starting the series with a one-run win on the road set the tone. It was tight the whole game, and as a pitcher, this is the kind of game where every pitch matters. We stayed composed late and found a way to finish it, which was huge for us mentally.

Game 2 – 7–8 Loss (Extra-Inning Type Battle)

This one hurt. It was another close game where we were right there the whole time, but came up just short in the end.

Games like this are tough because you feel how small the margin is. One pitch, one at-bat can decide everything. As a pitcher, it’s frustrating, but it also shows how competitive we are in these tight games.

Game 3 – 4–1 Win (Clean Pitching Win)

This was one of our best games of the weekend.

We controlled it from the start. Pitching was sharp, defense was solid, and we didn’t give them anything free. This is the type of game every pitcher wants—low stress, in control, and letting the team play behind you.

Game 4 – 5–17 Loss (Rough Finish)

This was a tough way to end the series. They got on us early and kept building momentum, and we couldn’t slow it down.

As a pitcher, games like this are the hardest mentally. You’re trying to stop the bleeding, but sometimes it just doesn’t flip. The important part is flushing it and moving forward.
