Week 8 – Staying Hot & Handling Pressure

This week was about maintaining the level we had reached.

We kept stacking conference wins and holding a strong position in the standings. At this point, every team is coming at you harder because of your record, and you can feel that.

As a pitcher, I liked that pressure. It forces you to stay sharp and execute. There’s no coasting.

Off the field, everyone was locked in too. Bus rides were quieter—guys either sleeping or doing schoolwork. You could tell everyone understood what we were building and didn’t want to let it slip.
